This bustling port and market town is just 7 miles away. Plenty of things to see and do here! A wide variety of shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants, cinema, leisure centre with indoor pool, the outdoor Jubilee Pool on the sea front and many historic buildings.

Make sure you stroll down the pretty and very interesting Chapel Street where the Turk’s Head pub believed to the oldest pub in the town. The Admiral Benbow, complete with its rooftop pirate was partially constructed in the 17th century is also in Chapel Street, (also dating from the 1600’s is Abbey House just around the corner). And don’t forget to see the eccentric Egyptian house built in 1836 when Egyptology was the national craze. Opposite is the Union Hotel, where the death of Nelson was first announced in 1805.

There is a regular market and farmer’s market and Tesco and Morrisons stores on the outskirts of town both of which have petrol stations.
